As first reported by the Comics Reporter, Zits and Baby Blues will be included in the family-friendly newsletters it publishes.

ArcaMax Publishing ( www.arcamax.com ), a leading publisher of family-friendly newsletters, has become the first company to send by e-mail Baby Blues and Zits — comic strips that generated large followings in major newspapers.

  1. I think Baby Blues is great! I love them! I can’t wait to read the next one you guys make. I wonder what Wren will look like when she gets older? Love the Comics. Bye-Miranda

  3. My son and I love the ZITS comic strip. We read it every morning together. It helps us laugh at ourselves and understand each others viewpoint a little better. Keep up the great work! Thanks! – Christi

  7. I’m not sure how Jim and Jerry are secretly recording our life and thoughts, but ZITS is great for our family and we laugh about it everyday at breakfast. My sons are 15 & 17. It validates my reaction to their antics and the car Jeremy is driving looks suspiciously like our red Mini Cooper. We love it!- Elizabeth

  9. I just turned 65 (5-30-08); my younger (live-in, again!) [NOT “Born-again”] son is “pushing” 29. “ZITS” is our, all-time, favorite strip. [Because this is a FAMILY posting, that’s as risky (speeLyn?) as I’ll get.] Here are a pair of recent/ current examples why we relate, so much: 1. My, aforementioned, “especial” birthday (yesterday): It ended with, “My BRAIN drives me CRAZY: — I’m a MANIC (Bipolar) Mensan; 2. Today (the end of May, ’08): My, referenced, son, too often, stays up ’til before the crack of Dawn/ sleeps a good part of the remainder of the day! That’s why, “The-ALL-NIGHTER: TWO GENRATIONAL DEFINITIONS,” struck a chord. WIN I when (?) Duh LOOTERYm, I’ll buy all available “ZITS” cartoonists… CARTOONS!

  11. It’s heartwarming to read these kind of reactions to comic strips. That’s what it’s all about. That’s why we can’t let the art form die.

  13. “Thatâ??s why we canâ??t let the art form die.”
Of course we can’t! I learned to read by reading Peanuts in the sixties. My nine year old loves to read “Garfield” and “Lio” late at night when he should be sleeping. Same for my eleven year old, except he reads “Pearls” and “Sherman’s Lagoon”. My fourteen year old has memorized just about every “Zits” and “Baby Blues” book published. I only wish more of the comics currently out there were available in book form. Don’t sell yourselves short. There are still millions of us who eagerly look forward to the next strip. (Even if that is only an internet subscription and we are two weeks behind in our reading!)
