In 2019, Disneyland took the vegan world by surprise by announcing the addition of more than 400 plant-based dishes across all its restaurant menus. Naturally, it won’t be possible to review (or even list) all those items.

But, I will try to cover as many as possible, or at least the best ones, so you’re aware of vegan options at Disneyland restaurants and know what to order at which Disneyland restaurant the next time you’re in the land of magic.

Vegan Food at Disneyland – A Quick Guide

Here are your vegan food choices at Disneyland restaurants:

Blue Bayou

  • Cauliflower Steak and Grits – Grilled cauliflower steak with creamy vegan grits, crispy mushroom chips, wilted greens, Romanesco sauce, shish*to chimichurri, and Cajun cheddar vegan cheese. Sounds like a powerful combination of flavors and textures.
  • Portobello Mushroom Stack – Marinated mushrooms with couscous maque choux served with sautéed spinach.

Café Orleans

Ordered without modifications, plant-based foods at Café Orleans in Disneyland include:

  • Housemade White Bean Hummus– White bean hummus served with pickled vegetables, herbed bread, crushed pistachios, and olive oil drizzled on top.
  • Farro Risotto – Classic farro risotto with wilted greens, charred cherry tomatoes, and shiitake mushrooms. Served with a lemon wedge on the side.
  • N’awlins Vegetable Ragout – Skip the cheese and corn cakes.
  • La Salade de Maison – Order it without cheese and candied nuts and replace the house dressing with the oil & vinegar dressing.
  • Pommes Frites – Ask for it without remoulade and cheese.
  • Vegetable Bolognese

  • Chef’s Plant-Based Burger – A housemade vegan burger with a bean patty, lettuce, pickled onions, vine-ripened tomatoes, and vegan chipotle mayo on a whole-grain bun. For the side, you can choose between seasoned French fries or fresh fruit.
  • House Salad

You can also get breakfast potatoes made vegan upon request.

  • Chopped Salad – Can be made vegan upon request by replacing chicken with tofu. Make sure to check other salad ingredients as well as they tend to change over time, and also be careful about the dressing that comes with it. You can request a vegan dressing.

You can also order pickles and pineapple spears as sides for your vegan meal at Disneyland’s Bengal Barbecue restaurant.

  • Felucian Kefta & Hummus Garden Spread–A complete vegan meal with Impossible Meatballs, housemade herb hummus, refreshing cucumber, tomato relish, and pita bread.
  • Ithorian Garden Patty Bun Kids Meal without the Bun–It’s made with Impossible Patty, but the bao bun it’s served in is non-vegan. You may order it without the bun.

Along with the meatless patty, you will get roasted carrots and a house sauce that seems vegan-friendly, but it’s best to confirm. You also get a mandarin and water (when you choose the vegan option; the other choice is low-fat milk) as part of the meal.

Rancho del Zocalo

  • Tostada Salad – Made with your choice of vegetables with rice, beans, and marinated cauliflower. Ask for no dairy (cheese and sour cream).
  • Cauliflower Tacos – Fried cauliflower florets with fresh cabbage slaw and delicious tomatillo sauce on wheat tortillas. These Disneyland vegan tacos are served with refried beans (vegan-friendly) and Mexican rice.
  • Build-Your-Own Burrito – Custom vegan burrito with your rice, beans, your choice of veggies, and vegan sauces inside a tortilla wrap.
  • Bean and Cheese Burrito – Swap cheese with rice.
  • Crispy Chips con Limon – Lemon-flavored tortilla chips
  • Cinnamon Crisps – Tortilla chips flavored with cinnamon. These taste a little like churros. But these are vegan.
  • Mexican Rice – Order without the cheese.

Their guacamole is also vegan, so you can add it to all your foods and make them more flavorful and delicious.

French Market

  • Vegan Jambalaya – It’s a secret menu item, so you won’t see it listed on the standard restaurant menu. But they can make it for you.

French Market isn’t the best place for vegan food at Disneyland. So, it’s better to avoid going here if you have other options. If not (that is, everyone else in your group wants to go here), you can get yourself vegan jambalaya.

Galactic Grill

  • Veggie Wrap – Mixed greens, black bean, and fire-roasted corn mix, sun-dried tomato spread, and vegan cheese inside a wheat tortilla. Served with French fries or fresh fruit on the side (as per your choice).
